The Allen Mine a gold, silver, lead and copper mine outside of Ketchum. The mine consists of several tailings piles that you can see from Warm Springs Road. There were some wood and metal artifacts lying about. I found a piece of a Fairbanks and Co Lard Compound tin. Pretty neat. This mine has a fantastic view of the Pioneer Mountains.
Directions
This mine is located about 900 feet above Warm Springs Road outside of Ketchum. I approached it from the West Fork road but I’m not convinced that was the correct way. You might have an easier time going directly up to the mine from the road.
