The Fifty-Fifty Claim is a small mine on the southern end of Hailey. There is a small tailing pile visible from the lower trail and a collapsed mine entrance. It’s accessible in the winter when there is little snow due to its southern aspect. The mine has a great view of the south valley.
Directions
This mine is located off of Toe of the Hill trail between Hailey and Bellevue. From the Water Gulch trailhead, head south on Toe of the Hill towards the light industrial zone at the very south end of Hailey. Once you reach the waste water treatment plant, you will see the tailing pile up the hill to your left. There isn’t a well defined trail up to the mine.
