The Muldoon District site is located in Muldoon Canyon. The mine site consists of several old homes, mining roads, and some mining buildings. There are lot’s of artifacts lying around. There are tailing piles located up the canyon walls north of the townsite.
Directions
This mine is located near Copper Creek Campground. It is a 26 mile drive from Bellevue via Muldoon Canyon Road. You will have to walk the last mile to the site. It’s difficult but try to follow the old road. It disappears at times so you will need something like Gaia to navigate.
I would also recommend to wear pants instead of shorts. There’s a lot of sage brush out there.
